Program Overview

The Phlebotomy certificate is designed to prepare students to learn how to properly collect, handle, and process blood specimens for analysis in health care settings. After completion, students are eligible to take a certification exam given by the American Society of Clinical Pathology or other agencies.

All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Each student in this program must have a physical exam, criminal background check without any disqualifying convictions, and a negative drug screen.

Students who complete this certificate program are eligible to take the national certification examination given by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
