ENGL 1053 Communications I
The student will focus on skills necessary for success in school and the workplace. Students will be expected to word process written assignments. (Basic word processing will be introduced during class.) Emphasis will be on learning how to learn, understanding nonverbal communication, retrieving information in the Learning Resource Center, presenting oral information, and preparing job search information. AAS: Communications elective.
Prerequisite
Minimum COMPASS Writing score: 56 OR Minimum ASSET Writing score: 39 OR Minimum ACT writing score: 19 - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
