CHEM 1504 Survey of General, Organic & Biochemistry

The student will be introduced to such fundamental concepts related to general and organic chemistry. Topics include atomic structure, chemical bonding and nomenclature, functional groups, intermolecular forces, solutions, and acid-base chemistry. The student will acquire basic knowledge upon which to build an understanding and appreciation of chemistry and its relationship to our world and life processes. AAS: Physical science (laboratory science) elective.
