Program Overview
The Nursing Assistant program is designed to prepare individuals to administer patient care as members of a nursing team in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and other extended care facilities. The nursing assistant course consists of 163 hours of theory, laboratory and clinical content. The course is approved by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Only PNUR 1438 is required to take the Nurse Aide Training and Competency Evaluation Program (NATCEP) exam. Successful completion of the NATCEP exam may be required for employment.
All courses must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Each student in this program must have a physical exam, criminal background check without any disqualifying convictions and a negative drug screen.
