HLTH 1223 Pathopharmacology for Health Careers

This course is an introduction to the basic concepts of both pathophysiology and pharmacology. Students will examine the mechanism of disease and its effects on the human body, with emphasis on etiology, signs and symptoms, diagnostic findings and treatments. Special topics in pharmacology will be introduced including, drug classifications, action/kinetics, drug interactions and desired outcomes in relation to the most common disease.
