READ 0963 Critical College Reading
Students must be enrolled in another course, unless approved by the instructor. Students will develop strategies to analyze and interpret readings effectively from a variety of nonfiction and fiction texts. The reading formats will include social science, humanities, business, science and technical. Emphasis will be on improving reading for college and career success, including appropriate reading rates and developing skills in written responses. This course is designed to prepare students for college-level coursework.
Prerequisite
Grade of C or better in ENGL 0954 or READ 0994 or appropriate assessment score - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
