Early Childhood Education Level Three Credential – Certificate

Program Overview

The Illinois Gateways Level Three Credential builds upon the Level Two Credential core with 9 semester hours of general education coursework and a total of 18 hours of child development. The Gateways program is designed to support movement through the state of Illinois Career Lattice. The Level Three Credential expands on foundational professional knowledge, and supports progression to the Level Four Credential or direct exit into the field.

Additional Program Information

Gateways credentials are awarded and recognized by the Illinois Department of Human Services Bureau of Child Care and Development and are not granted through the Illinois Community College Board.
