XRAY 2212 Surgical and Special Procedures

The student will gain a better understanding of the principles of previous classroom and clinical studies as they affect: advanced level imaging in surgical and special procedures. The student will explore topics in advanced imaging modalities such as MRI (magnetic resonance imaging), CT (computed tomography), PET (positron emission tomography), PET/CT, nuclear medicine, mammography, interventional/cardiac radiography, bone densitometry, ultrasound, and radiation oncology and how these imaging modalities correlate with the studies completed in diagnostic radiology.

XRAY 1042, XRAY 1053, XRAY 1232, and XRAY 1326 - Must be completed prior to taking this course. XRAY 1333 - Must be taken at the same time as this course.
