SOCY 1613 Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging
This course provides an interdisciplinary approach to identifying and understanding the issues surrounding diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in the United States. Using a variety of lenses and methodologies (e.g. sociological, economic, historical, and psychological), students will analyze the relationship between the individual, society, and culture within America and how that relationship has created, maintained, and challenged inequality. Appropriate assessment score or
ENGL 1422 with a grade of C or better - Must be taken either prior to or at the same time as this course.
