Basic Manufacturing Industrial Maintenance, Certificate
The Basic Manufacturing Industrial Maintenance Certificate is designed to develop within the student practical skills in troubleshooting, precision measurement, lathe operations, milling and basic welding for an entry-level position in industrial manufacturing industry. Industrial maintenance entry-level jobs include, but are not limited to: industrial maintenance technician trainee and industrial maintenance service technician trainee.
Additional Program Information
Students who successfully pass all four assessments (MAFT 1112, MAFT 1222, MAFT 1232 and MAFT 1312) will be recognized as a Certified Production Technician (CPT) by the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC).

Outcomes
Use safe work habits and techniques when constructing, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing industrial machinery and systems.
Properly use basic hand tools, small power tools, and standard measuring instruments commonly employed in the field of industrial machinery and systems
Successfully construct circuits, translating industry-standard drawings and documentation into their intended physical manifestations, properly performing their intended physical functions, using effective technique in the installation of industrial machinery and systems
Show proper use and operation of machine tool equipment
Demonstrate safe work habits in the operation of welding, cutting, and fabrication
