CHEM 1504 Basic Chemistry
The student will be introduced to such fundamental concepts related to general and organic chemistry. Topics include atomic structure, chemical bonding and nomenclature, functional groups, intermolecular forces, solutions, and acid-base chemistry. The student will acquire basic knowledge upon which to build an understanding and appreciation of chemistry and its relationship to our world and life processes. AAS: Physical science (laboratory science)elective.

MATH 1113 or
MATH 1414 with a grade of C or better or appropriate assessment score - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
READ 1484 or
READ 0963 with a grade of C or better or appropriate assessment score - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
