JOUR 1653 Introduction to Journalism
The student will examine an overview of the historical development of journalism followed by study and practice which emphasizes the development of professional news gathering and writing. Students will study and write each of the following: news stories, sports stories, feature articles, book reviews, interviews, publicity releases and organizational newsletters. Appropriate assessment score or
ENGL 1413 with a grade of C or better. - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
