Outcomes

Compare and contrast basic theories, concepts, and terminology used in agriculture/horticulture.

Demonstrate knowledge of sustainable agricultural/horticultural practices.

Demonstrate skill in the use of equipment, tools, environmental controls, and computers as they relate to the agricultural/horticultural field.

Diagnose plant disease and pest problems, and recommend management options.

Explain basic plant growth principles and how they relate to the propagation, production, use, and maintenance of plant materials.

Identify and practice safety, environmental protection, workplace ethics, and leadership skills in the workplace.

Program Overview

The Agri-Hort Technology curriculum is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge and fundamental skills to work in a field related to agriculture and/or horticulture. This program is designed to meet the needs of students entering into the career field and those students looking to update their career skills.
