The Information Technology Professional program builds on the "PC Support Technician" certificate. As a foundation, the program provides a wide range of skills essential for information technology professionals in the digital age. Students will gain a comprehensive understanding of relevant operating systems, software development, website design and implementation. Problem-solving abilities and critical thinking are also fostered. Students will learn to approach challenges from many perspectives. Even as the technological landscape evolves, that versatility will enable graduates to excel in many IT roles.

Outcomes

Be able to assemble, maintain, and troubleshoot personal computers.

Apply a deep understanding of various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS, allowing them to configure, administer, and troubleshoot operating system issues in diverse IT environments.

Demonstrate adeptness in software development methodologies, programming languages, and algorithms, enabling them to design, develop, and maintain software applications tailored to meet specific business requirements.

Display development proficiencies in web technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web frameworks, enabling them to create responsive and dynamic websites and web applications.

Be prepared to pass the CompTIA A+ certification exam, demonstrating expertise in hardware and operating system technologies, troubleshooting, and cyber security.
