ENGL 0944 Preparation for College English I
Students will develop writing and reading skills appropriate for college level coursework by engaging in reading and writing as holistic processes. The class will include strategies to comprehend and analyze a variety of texts. Writing assignments will include compositions from single paragraphs to short essays. Students will learn to use standard written English, and will develop strategies for using new vocabulary in their writing. Study skills and test-taking techniques will also be developed.

Appropriate assessment score - Must be completed prior to taking this course.
